"May in Manhattan" is 24" across and 60" long.  I dyed the cloth then rough edge appliqued the organza.  I quilted it by machine and then couched beautiful white wool yarn for the flowers.

I ink dyed these four fabrics..
...then made them into a quilt top.  Will quilt it later.  I used fabric medium and alcohol in with the inks so make the "solids" and splattered ink on fabric that had medium and was dried for the multi colored pattern.  Then I used two different stencils to "pattern" the fabric.  I thinned out the ink with alcohol then laid the stencil down and almost dry brushed the ink over the stencil and fabric.  One stencil was a roundish pattern and one was squarish.  These fabrics worked well in the quilt together because some of the same colors were used in all pieces in the alcohol dyeing.

My new baby.  I have already felted on it in class with the felting attachment.  So far it sews beautifully.
I need to learn how to free motion without the stitch regulator.  Since I'm old school, I learned how to free motion before stitch regulators and I'd like to keep it that way.  I will learn different tricks with the stitch regulator at a class in August.  I beat up my poor old Viking.  It still works and I will still use it.  Now I need a new studio revamp to fit both machines in my sewing space.

Felted with janelafazio.com  My piece was approx 8 x 11.
Cut a 4 x 6 postcard out of my felted piece and will probably use the rest for ATCs.

Alcohol inks on fabric.  These were so fun to play with.  I experimented with fabric medium to adapt the inks to the porous fabric.

ctaylorart.com  Cathy Taylor was helping me use this technique on fiber after I got the hang of Yupo.
It's been a long time since I've created.  These are alcohol inks on Yupo paper.

Just finished a beginning drawing class.  I have never been good at drawing, but the teacher was very encouraging.   Used Prisma color pencils.  Hoping this will advance my fiber art experience.

Three postcards I made to donate for Pokey Bolton's fundraiser at IQF Houston.  Guess I was in an orange mood when I picked the fabrics.  http://pokeysponderings.com/
